100% of builders in the UK believe implementing sustainable building will improve their business reputation, a survey shows.
Research carried out by The Green Register (TGR), which was online as well as in ‘Professional Builder Magazine’, found that builders who took part in the survey think that if they were greener builders, they would be seen as a better builder.
The survey revealed that 61% of builders claimed that their work does already involve green building, whereas 33% said it is hardly ever involved in their work.

Builders told the group that they are keen to learn more about topics such as, renewable energy technologies and best practice detailing that relates to insulation installation.
TGR’s director Lucy Pedler explains why Government legislation and the Code for Sustainable Homes should be a concern to builders in order to grow through sustainability.
