PayPal UK’s official twitter handle began to tweet negative messages about the payments giant on Tuesday, after an angry customer took control of the account.
While in control of PayPal’s twitter feed, the person posted links to the anti-PayPal website paypalsucks.com, which encourages web users to seek alternative online payment methods.
“PAYPAL CAN FREEZE YOUR FUNDS FOR NO REASON, DO NOT USE PAYPAL!!,” one of the tweets read.
In a statement, PayPal confirmed that its twitter feed was targeted by hackers, but assured customers that none of their data was at risk.

Great expectations accompany “Adventure Tourism” (AT) legislation passed by Tennessee lawmakers to spur tourism-related economic development in the state.
“We’ve got it so we can really increase the private sector,” state Rep. Jeremy Faison, R-Cosby, recently said of the AT bill to tourism profession als attending the annual meeting of the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association (NETTA).

UK retail sales in April rose more than economists expected, it has been suggested.
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) retail sales climbed 1.1% from March and 2.8% from the previous year. This marks the biggest increase recorded for almost 10 years.
It has been highlighted that the retail sales figures were boosted by special factors that took place during the month, most notably the royal wedding, the Easter break and a run of good weather.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Zynga Inc., the San Francisco startup behind “FarmVille,” ”CityVille” and other social games for Facebook and other platforms, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of its stock.
According to the filing, Zynga is seeking to sell as much as $1 billion worth of shares.
“Zynga is a company with more than 2,000 amazingly talented employees dedicated to engaging, surprising and delighting an audience that has grown to 148 million monthly unique users in 166 countries,” CEO Mark Pincus wrote in a letter to potential shareholders.
