Small businesses are being advised to switch their broadband and telephone provider if they are dissatisfied.

A recent report by a popular comparison website found that the newest providers of landline telephone facilities are offering customers a better service.

Consumers tend to settle with their providers whether they have received good service or not, but Ceri Stanaway, spokesperson for consumer group ‘Which?’ said that dissatisfied consumers should vote with their feet, as it is likely there will always be other attractive options elsewhere.

However, she encourages small businesses to consider all providers available along with the general service that they provide before making a decision.

“If you’re not happy with your provider, then switch. Don’t assume that all providers are the same,” she urged.

It is understood that some providers not only have better service, some could have certain services or packages that best match the needs of a business, which is why research is a sensible option to ensure the best deals are acquired.

The poll reported that ‘TalkTalk’ was thought to offer the best value of any broadband and landline provider, while ‘Virgin Media’ and ‘Sky’ came joint top for customer service.
